We want all of our customers to be completely satisfied with their new garden beds. New plant installations are guaranteed for one year after date of purchase. The guaranty is void if customer fails to properly care for plantings. Please review "what's not covered" section below.
We provide a one time, free of charge replacement for perennials, trees and shrubs for up to one year after planting. Plants replacements are subject to availability and proper planting temperatures. Please see below for what is not covered in our guaranty.
This guaranty does not include the cost of labor, delivery, and extra materials (compost, fertilizer, coco coir, etc..)
This guaranty does not cover annuals or any perennials, or shrubs planted in planters or porch pot.
This guaranty does not cover transplanted perennials or shrubs.
This guaranty does not cover plants that do not survive due to failure to provide normally accepted horticultural planting care and/or maintenance. Plants that fail due to poor soil or poor drainage are not covered.
This guaranty does not include negligence on part of the owner, including but not limited to lack of water or irrigation. The use of herbicides such as glyphosate found in Roundup or other herbicide brands voids our plant replacement guaranty.
This guaranty does not cover damage caused by animal rubbing or eating. It is the sole responsibility of the owner to protect plants from the possible damage by animals.
This guaranty does not include transportation, labor or other consequential and incidental costs or damages.
This guaranty does not include coverage of the following: damage or loss of trees, plants, or ground covers caused by fires, floods, lightning, freezing rains, winds or storms, drought or extreme heat, winter kill caused by extreme cold and severe winter conditions not typical of planting area, natural disasters, or acts of vandalism.
Plantings will not be guaranteed without a working irrigation system in place.
PRESERVICE REQUIREMENTS
*Bee or wasp nests may disrupt our work, please have bee or wasp nests treated prior to our visit. If our crew encounters nests that disrupt our work, gardening work may need to be paused and delayed until treatment is complete.
*Small amounts of poison ivy will be removed at our discretion. We charge an extra fee for poison ivy gear used. The customer will be responsible for large amounts of poison ivy removal. If our crew encounters large amounts of poison ivy, gardening work may need to be paused and delayed until removal is complete.
*The customer must remove any garden art prior to our services.
*If preservice requirements aren’t met, additional charges may apply.
SCHEDULING
*Our schedule fluctuates and we are sometimes unable to notify customers before our crew's arrival. Please request if you need to be notified prior to service.
*Services will be scheduled upon our availability. Your date may shift as we adjust our schedule for weather and other delays.
*In the event a client needs to cancel an appointment, 48 hours' notice to Mary Berry's Gardening is required. Notice may be given by email or phone.
*Customers must give 48 hours' notice of any upcoming work at their property that will prohibit our crew from working. A $100 charge will apply if our crew is turned away from your property.
SERVICE EXPECTATIONS
*Please let us know if you have planted any new plantings or have started plantings from seed in your garden beds. We list our customer's plants on our worksheet for our crew’s information. Seedlings should be roped off with stakes and string to identify the area where seeds/new plants are planted.
*Please note that invasive plants and weeds such as Prehistoric pine weed, Bishop's weed, Morning glory vine, Northern thistle, and others will need continued removal.
*Heavy weed growth can overtake and kill your landscape plants. We cannot guarantee landscape plants in overgrown or struggling conditions.
*Low voltage wires such as dog fences, lighting, and underground irrigation lines may be disturbed during gardening work. To ensure our crews safety the property owner must ensure that the utilities and electric wires are up to date and in proper working order. Mary Berry's Gardening will not be responsible for the cost of these lines during this work.
*Annuals, transplanted plants or plants purchased by the customer are not included in our guarantee.
*Customers are responsible for proper care and watering of new plantings. See watering instructions on our website maryberrysgardening.com/careguide.
RECOMMENDATIONS
*We recommend annual application of organic fertilizer, compost, and 2 inches of mulch. Please contact us to schedule these additional services.
*We recommend the regular application of natural animal repellents. Please contact us to schedule our natural animal repellent services.
*Physical edges like black diamond and metal edging can deteriorate over time. We recommend removing these when damaged and creating a natural edge. Please contact us to schedule edging removal services.
*We do not pull weeds from patios, as it can damage your patios and hardscapes. We offer an application of natural weed spray. Please contact us to schedule these additional services.
PRICING
*This estimate is valid for 2 weeks from the date of this estimate, after which prices are SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
*Your project will require more labor hours if there are unexpected conditions such as excessive weed growth, excessive poison ivy, unyielding clay, thick tree roots, and or other circumstances.
*If you are new to our services, an initial first-time clean-up is required before regular maintenance begins. First-time clean-up, Spring and Fall Clean-up require more labor and a higher budget. Your budget is the rate you will be charged per visit unless further work is needed.
*Plant purchases are non-refundable. Due to plant availability, variety, prices and sizes are subject to change.
*The customer may not add any additional projects not listed on this estimate. Please contact us to schedule any additional services.
FALL/WINTER
*During the fall season, unless otherwise noted by the customer, our team will clean leaves from lawn areas
